Frequently Asked Questions!
We'd love to help give you ease of mind of what we do with our Children's Ministry here at CCC. If you have questions that you don't see listed below, contact our Children's Minister, Holly Wasmundt!
At CCC, we take the safety of your child very seriously. To ensure their well-being during programming, we have several key safety measures in place. The children's wing doors are locked to restrict access, and a safety team member is always available to monitor and assist when needed. All volunteers undergo a thorough background check to ensure they are trustworthy. Volunteers are easily identifiable by their CKids badge, so you can always know who is responsible for your child. Additionally, key volunteers undergo CPR training, bloodborne pathogen training, and are familiar with other safety protocols to respond effectively in case of emergencies. To ensure proper pick-up, every child is given a pick-up tag, which helps ensure that they are only released to the appropriate guardian. These measures work together to create a safe and secure environment for your child during their time at Clayton Christian Church.
CCC is partnered with Grow Curriculum to help plan lessons and games for kids during the Power Up service at 11am. All curriculum at CCC is Bible based and discipleship focused. In Sunday School, classes use Heartshaper Curriculum.
Check in is a fast and easy process! Stop by the children's welcome desk, enter your child's name, and quickly receive a name tag and pick-up tag for your child. If your child is new to CKids either on Sundays or Wednesdays, you can go ahead and check in your child for a seamless transition when you join us in person! Tap the "Register My CKid" button to get started!
Check out our Programs page to see everything we offer for your children!
If you have a child that you would like to sit in service with, we offer a Quiet Room inside the Worship Center for parents to sit with their child and still listen to the service.
A CKids volunteer will text you if anything is needed during the service. Please be sure your phone number is updated with us by reaching out to our Children's Minister or by contacting our church office.
Yes. All Volunteers will be required to complete a background check to be allowed in the CKids areas. And just for added reassurance, no volunteer is ever permitted to be alone with a child. All volunteers that have performed a background check will be wearing a yellow leader badge.
Power Up is a Sunday morning experience for all Kindergarten through 5th Grade children. We worship and dance, sit in small discipleship groups based on grade, listen to an engaging lesson, craft some fun art, then we play! We offer Power Up at 11:00am most Sundays. This allows your child to learn more about God at their own level while you get to enjoy worship and the message in the Worship Center. While we do encourage your child to be in Power Up, we still love to have kids in the Worship Center. It's your choice!
